Men's Merino Cycle Softshell Jacket

Massively impressed with the Ashmei Softshell jacket on the 2 rides I managed in it before the lockdown. Yes it is not cheap, but it oozes the highest levels of quality and the attention to detail is exemplary as I have come to expect from Ashmei. I'll update the review when I have had a chance to do more rides in it.

I bought this jacket last month and has already become a favourite. A bit expensive, but the sheer quality easily makes the cost worthwhile

I have one of these. Purchased late last year as a collaboration through FB Outcast Cyclists. So far this year it has been my go to top. I've worn it every weekend so far as it seems to work well in holding back the wind, but with a light layer underneath is more than adequate in freezing conditions. The true test was when I wore it to the Meon Vale sportive and we experienced cold, then sun, then rain, then hail, some more sun and some wind! All the time I felt pretty comfortable so I would say it did it all for me. Don't look at this piece of kit as expensive, see it as a superb value investment.

Simply AshMei-zing. I have used this jacket for the last few months over the winter (days ranging from 4C to 12C damp & dry) and it did its job really well every ride. I was never too hot nor too cold. The well thought out combination of zipped & non-zipped pockets were very useful. I have other top brand jackets but this is now my go-to item - I only use the other ones when this one is not yet dried from washing. The only observation I have is that I am a typical size small (in terms of most other brands) but in Ashmei I take an xtra-small.
