Instantly recognisable, Mount Ventoux is an iconic climb among the cycling fraternity, steeped in history, tragedy and victory. Inspired by this revered legend of the Tour, the ashmei design team has created a KoM Jersey to honour those who embrace alpine cycling.

Lighter than its Classic Short Sleeve Jersey stablemate to optimise performance, the KoM revels in the ascent as much as the descent. The blended MERINO+CARBON fabric will keep you cool when you are working hard and help you stay warm if the alpine wind starts to bite. Thanks to its natural wicking capabilities, the Merino blend dissipates any moisture from your skin to the outer layer of the fabric, keeping you incredibly dry, even in 30 degree summer heat. This luxurious blend of fabrics also boasts 10 times faster wicking than normal Merino wool and also dries twice as fast.

Three rear pockets keep your accessories stowed with equilibrium, whilst a zipped security pocket keeps essential items secure, should you need that peace of mind. Weighing in at just 168g, this is a serious piece of kit for all those who love the majesty of the mountains.

ashmei Head of Product Development Elliot says: We listened to customer feedback on our Short Sleeve Classic to offer a three rear pocket Jersey with enhanced reflective detailing. With inspiration from the Tour de France, this Jersey is lighter than its predecessor with lots of subtle reflective details to keep you safe when riding.

This is an impressive jersey. I wore it without a base layer on a long 300km+ ride with temps into the 40’s and down to 11c as the night closed in. What amazed me was how comfortable I remained through such a wide range of temps particularly as the temps dropped into the evening. At the hottest times things did get wet and sweaty which helped cool things at bit however as temps went down to the 20’s and below it stayed dry, kept the wind off and I stayed remarkably warm. I have another premium brand lightweight jersey that is pure polyester and whilst this performs equally well in the high temps it feels a lot cooler in the cold. Size wise I fall right on the border between M and L. I bought the L and I find it a little loose around my waist but perfect everywhere else. I think an M would be too short for my 188cm.

Top quality and extremely stylish, so much so I was asked in numerous cafe’s when cycling from Venice to Rome where I had purchased it ( and this is Italy).

An excellent jersey stylish enough for weekend recreational rides and low maintenance enough the daily commute. The merino blend is great at eliminating the odour you get after a couple of hours in a cheaper polyester jersey and can handle 2-3 days of commuting without a wash with no smell! The fabric is incredibly soft against the skin and suitable for a wide range of temperatures as other reviewers have noted. It stands up well to washes too, after many washes on wool/delicate setting there has been no shrinkage, which is always a worry with wool products. I have bough several pieces of Ashmei kit since (another jersey, rain jacket, softshell jacket & bib shorts) and have been equally impressed by them all. Top quality kit!

I have been happily commuting with a merino icebreaker jersey for years. It finally gave up and wore through recently so it needed replacement. Imagine my disappointment finding out that icebreaker didn’t make them anymore. So after a bit of research I decided on the ashmei kom. I was almost certain it wouldn’t be as good as the jersey that had help me through so many cool and wet winters and hot dry summers (I live in Perth Western Australia). Only after a few rides I realised I was wrong. This jersey has a better feel and and stands up to the hot dry summer days just as well if not better. The wicking seems superior and its thinner material is especially good for the commute with a backpack. I’m eager to see if it holds up in winter too, but I’m feeling confident. Great job ashmei, I can now retire the icebreaker, knowing I’ve found a very suitable replacement.

Ok bikers .. just got this jersey in kinda plum color ….so a little background .. I am 6’2” 205 lbs.. over 60 in age .. online I knew this product was expensive .. but I took the risk .. overseas delivery so I was little cautious .. I order the 2xl.. The jersey fits great … as I would expect not too loose not too tight …. the color is pretty classy .. a deep plum color with slight
Grey overtones.. like very much .. the fabric I would say is a light weight composition , wool and synthetics …almost silklike on your skin .. very nice ..seams are stiched well with no loose hangers ..had mostly flat seam construction … wears well to your skin.. I like this product very well.. would I wear this daily biking .. well it’s pretty expensive .. so maybe special occasions .. we’ll see how it wears .. would I buy again from ashmei… yes .. they really did a great job packaging this product when shipping .. yes .. I think they show a great product and branding … done well.. expensive yes… but again, you get what you pay for

A very good jersey especially on hot days. I’ve ridden in this jersey through this incredibly hot spell we’ve had recently and have been comfortable throughout. Sometimes the only reminder of how hot it’s been is the salt rings after the ride! Really like the pump holder in the middle rear pocket which keeps that nice and secure and then the zippered phone pocket is a great addition for peace of mind too. Very comfortable fabric and a great looking design, what more could you ask for?

I just recieved the jersey a week ago – and I am already convinced that it is the best cycling jersey I ever owned. Especially it still feels warm when it is soaked in sweat – even on a cold morning. I also like the elegant discrete style of the jersey – it looks very good instead of those awful world tour team jerseys I see around.
    Thumbs up for this jersey!!

this is a high quality jersey, that’s a pleasure to wear, having used it on cool mornings 4 deg c and during the day when the temperatures have risen to 30 deg c, in both cases its been comfortable to wear, pockets are large compared to other jerseys I have. nice subtle colours, although perhaps others might like a more bold colour sheme

First tryout of this jersey today. I am an “older” cyclist and 90kg but very, very fit cycling at least 60k each and every day in the south of France. It is very hot at this time of the year (38 degrees centigrade today). I also try to average 30kph over the total cycle so I put in lots of effort and as a result sweat lots. Its a very good test of any cycling equipment. The jersey was excellent on its first test outing – I will see how it wears after lots of use and washing – but it was easily a match on its first run to anything else I have (and I buy lots of cycling clothing usually sticking to Rapha or Assos). The feel on the skin is excellent and wicking worked well.

High quality jersey that feels very soft to the skin. Very light. Wicks away sweat very well. Sweat from climbing will easily dry off during the descent on the other side. Like the subtle color schemes. Enjoyed riding in the hot summer days in Nice. However, due to the very soft nature of the fabric, the pockets may sag a little after use.

I particularly like the understated colours and cut. A design that is stylish, noticeable without shouting its presence.
The jersey is well made with all the seams and stitching being very neat and well thought out. A good quality product.
The materials are very comfortable against the skin and seem to give good general insulation against the elements be that colder temperatures or hot days. Particularly noticeable was how comfortable the jersey was during some very hot and very humid days I rode through on a recent cycle trip.

This is a jersey that can be worn all day in complete comfort, in fact you hardly know that you are wearing it. No chafing or rubbing from any of the seams, the zip can be adjusted easily while on the move, often an issue with some jerseys, and at the end of a day washes well ready for use the next day, drying overnight.
For me the only change I would ask is for a half zip option of the jersey. This is a personal preference in my case.
In my opinion this an excellent piece of kit that I would recommend to anyone.
