Spotlight | The new Evo Jersey

A racing jersey for hardworking cyclists that’s light on the environment. Created from materials otherwise likely to have been abandoned, our most modern Evo jerseys represent a new stage in ashmei’s development. Not only is it our lightest-ever jersey, its racing cut and extreme breathability come courtesy of the latest in recycled fabric technology. Allowing us to uphold our ethos of pursuing sustainable performance, we sought out the highest quality material derived from recycled sources. Reformed and woven into incredibly soft and breathable fabric, its use allows us to offer a cycling jersey that’s both close-fitting and easy to care for.

A priority on speed

Benefiting from all our expertise, the Evo jersey offers a tailored fit with a minimum of seams and panels. Both comfortable and aerodynamic, our new fabric also allows for laser-cut sleeves for a flush and unrestrictive finish. Using a pre-curved collar construction, this is designed to fit perfectly when riding without being limiting or uncomfortable when standing. Coming with a trio of conventional rear pockets, the addition of a zip-closure stash pocket allows you to keep any valuables safe.

Made to last

Rounded off with understated details including ashmei branded YKK zip pullers, tactile hem, each jersey is designed and produced in Europe. Allowing us to be sure the best environmental practices are pursued at every stage of the garment’s development, each is designed to provide years of regular enjoyment. Supported by our loved to bits repair programme, the Evo Jersey is also styled to be as modern and serviceable after a decade of use as it is today.

Inspired by the landscape

Taking as inspiration the landscapes that our focus on sustainable materials aims to protect, we’ve selected three neutral shades from our own travels on the bike. The chalk colour recalls trips along the coast at Beachy Head, the blue-grey storm colour evokes a dramatic expedition in Scotland, while the berry colour recalls fruit from hedgerows around our base in the Chilterns.

New fabrics from old materials

Sitting alongside our established Merino wool products, the development of the Evo jersey has allowed us to provide an alternative style while exploring another sustainable way to make cycling clothing. Helping our athletes continue to feel good about their clothing while letting us move seamlessly towards our goal of creating innovative and environmentally freindly clothing, it represents faster progress for everyone.
