Well, honestly, this is my first year of biking and I'm using a gravel bike for all kind of adventures. When it came to buying a rain jacket I was pretty unsure which brand to select and where to order, various tests and reviews in the internet didn't make it easier. Finally I decided to spend the extra € and order a jacket from ashmei which was rated in nealy all tests with highest points. So far I don't regret anything - the jacket fits perfect to me an does a really good job keeping me dry from rain inside and keeps me also warm in rides with temperatures around 5 degrees C. I think it's worth spendig the money and would recommend buying it.

Great jacket. Has kept me dry in unexpected downpours, its lightweight and packs small enough for my jersey pocket if I get too warm when climbing or riding hard. I use it on descents as a wind jacket too, it looks stylish and its reflective. Combined with a merino jersey and vent zips closed, its warm enough/wind proof down to about 5C too. I bought a soft shell at the same time but this jacket is almost all you need. - have worn the soft shell only in really cold conditions.

When i started cycling i would just buy kit, then i met someone in Ashmei and now i have about 30 bits of Ashmei kit buy cheap buy twice no thanks i would rather buy from these guys and get what i want, This waterproof Jacket is very lightweight and great for wind chill too but 1st time out in it in the rain and oh boy smashed it, while i dislike riding in the rain when i have to, this is what i reach for 100%

Having bought a number of rain jackets over the years inc light weight packables, hard shells and soft shells which all either failed to keep moderate to heavy rain out or turned into a full blown boil in the bag sweat jacket, I was reluctant to purchase this cycle jacket. However I am really glad I did as I really impressed by it in terms of waterproofness, breathability, great fit and practicality in terms of a number of pockets inc the magic magnet lock pocket, under arm zips for more breathability when you need it, it will even pack down into my back pocket jersey. Although expensive its worth it, just wish I had bought it sooner several jackets ago!!

After lots of research I took the plunge and ordered this jacket.Quick delivery and expensive looking packaging were a good start.I'm 65kg and slim so went for a medium. The fit off the bike was good but as soon as I started riding the jacket was very tight around the shoulders which caused the sleeves to ride up and balloon out at the shoulders.I noticed one of the other reviewers had the same problem.The next issue was breathability. After only 5 miles of riding at 8 degrees with a thin base layer underneath the jacket was completely soaked inside despite opening the vents and main zip. This is such a shame as the jacket has some great features but the performance is no better than a £30 emergency jacket I own. As a life long club cyclist I know the perfect jacket does not exist but this one is far from it.

Hi Mark, Thank you for submitting your review of the Cycling Waterproof and sorry to hear that the fit wasn't quite right for you. We are continually working on our fit to provide a aerodynamic, next to skin fit, whilst tailoring a garment to most cyclist's body shapes. We will keep working here! Regarding breathability, we are using a fabric with the best breathability to waterproofness ratio we could develop, with a membrane only 7 microns thin, as well as adding features such as pit zips to enhance breathability. My recommendation would be to look at our Cycle Softshell Jacket, which uses Merino Wool to keep your temperature at a more stable level and also offers Waterproofing where it's required.
