Our Signature Bib Shorts are made different. Early in their development, we realised materials already on the market didn’t measure up, so we created our own. With an intrinsic understanding of the technology involved, the fabric used on our Signature Bib Shorts is a perfect example of ashmei’s ground-up approach.
Woven rather than knitted, it contains a far higher degree of more expensive and flexible elastane. Start with a material that possesses the qualities you need, and making a great product becomes easier. Taking the list of qualities required from our shorts; a compressive fit, wind and water resistance, breathability, high opacity, and a minimum of superfluous details, rather than adding features, our design accomplishes these from the fibre upwards.
Also allowing us to laser-cut the legs for a seamless and unrestrictive fit, the Signature Bib Shorts use less to achieve more. Married to a bespoke high-density foam chamois and wide stay-flat straps, the result is a pair of shorts unlike any other.

Signature bib shorts
I like these shorts so far although I think the medium might be a bit small and if I buy again I’ll try the large. I had originally bought small based on the sizing chart - and they were definitely tight so I sent those back, but the medium does not seem that much bigger. They are short in length as well but I think I’ll get used to that.

I’ve got a few pieces of Ashmei kit and they’re great. Well worth the investment as they don’t fall to bits or look shabby after a few washes. The fabric of these shorts is not what you’d normally expect but very comfortable, compresses just the right amount and they’re well cut too. I’m happy with that as I’ve no doubt they’ll be around for a while!

I absolutely love this signature bib shorts from ashmei! I’ve been wearing bib shorts from another big name for a while. But, the touch of the material, the minimal design and the super supportive chamois make ashmei stand out immediately! It’s just so comfortable and functional. Wearing this shorts and I won’t feel tired cycling for hours. Definitely it is my favourite bib shorts now.
ChinaBest bibs for long distance cycling
These are my favourite bibs when I know that there is a long distance ahead or plan a multi-day adventure. Unlike other bibs of popular brands, The pad is holding exceptionally well and keeps its shape after several hours in a saddle. My only complaint is that the rubber grip application on the inside of the bib legs could be a bit more grippy, so that the bibs don’t slide up when cycling or maybe just make the length a bit longer.
